Adam and I just returned (about 2 hours ago) from a 3 night getaway. Although we only drove 45 minutes up the road to Ann Arbor, I feel so refreshed and ready to go.
Addison stayed home with Aunt Emily and just the two of us rested, read and plain out relaxed for a a few days. I had been sick for the past week and still coughing a bit so the rest was absolutely crucial.
I took naps everyday (sometimes twice), swam in the pool, sat with at least my legs in the hot tub, ordered some room service, went to see Slumdog Millionaire and had some tasty stir fry at BD's Mongolian BBQ.
All in all it was a much needed trip that has better prepared me for the crazy coming weeks - we officially launch Elevate Church on March 29th and will start meeting at a new venue starting next week.
My big sister Stacy and her family are moving to Monroe TODAY and are so excited to start helping with the church and starting afresh. Like I said the weeks ahead will be crazy but I know that God is in this stuff and He has been preparing us for the past few years for what is just around the corner.
I appreciate all of your prayers leading up to the launch as well as the weeks following as well.
