Food for Thought

To date this year over 4 million people have died of hunger and there are an astounding 1.2 billion people undernourished. I personally haven't even felt hungry all week.

Today the awesome people that I call family at Elevate Church are helping to lower these crazy numbers by serving food to the hungry and homeless here in Monroe County. We have teamed up with a great organization God Works that serves food everyday at various locations throughout the county. God Works is a beacon of light in the city that many people without food can depend on each day to survive.

So glad to be part of a faith community that takes action when we read scriptures where Jesus says "what you've done unto the least of these you have done unto Me". But mostly I am glad that Jesus gives us the chance to see people and love them like He does.
